I work with camera, acrylic paints and love to draw, especially with felt pens and ink. I moved from Helsinki to Pori, which is on the west coast of Finland in 2021 and got much closer to nature. Since I work from home I have a wonderful opportunity to follow changing of seasons in a nearby forest. This has proved an endless source of inspiration. I decided to make a series of drawings celebrating Mother Nature in all her colourful glory. I have been drawing organic shapes and a wealth of shades ever since. Some of my work recalls cellular biology and even fractals. The same shapes and colours, that are found within us are also around us, proving that we all belong together and are parts of the same system here on our beautiful home planet. I want to show my respect to Mother Nature and take care of her the best I can and reflect this attitude in my artistic work.
